Pirate Productions is a film and television company based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Writer/director Annie Griffin founded the company in 1995. We have made numerous documentaries for British television, and are best known for our comedy drama series THE BOOK GROUP and the feature film FESTIVAL.
Our first series, COMING SOON, was made for Channel 4 in 1999, and two series of THE BOOK GROUP followed.
Our murder mystery NEW TOWN was shown on the BBC in 2009.
We are currently developing TENEMENT for the BBC, and THE BOOK GROUP for US television.
